Founder & Director , Omid-e Iran :
Nader Rafiee took after his father , a pioneer of the film industry, performing as a child star in more than twenty popular movies, heralded by moviegoers everywhere. In the late "70"s,Nader attended California State University Long Beach and graduated with a B.A in telecommunications . His first noteworthy success came as director for Channel 56 from 1985 to 1987 .In 1985,while working with channel 56, Nader started his own TV program," Midnight Show" an interview program for educated professionals. In 1990 he expanded his repertoire by directing, producing and broadcasting the show " The Fifth Day of the Week" and ,in 1995,he added " Omid-e-Iran" ,his third successful program. All these programs were highly regarded by thousands of viewer in Southern California.
As well as directing and programming ,Nader is also a dynamic journalist. during his flourishing career he has interviewed some of the most important and distinguished movers and shakers of Southern California such as Governors Pete wilson and Gray Danis, Senators Richard Pulanco and Byden ,Los Angeles Mayors Richard Riordon and James Han, L.A county district attorneys Gil Garcetti and Steve Cooly , LosAngeles County Sheriffs Sherman Block and Lee Baca and chiefs of police Bernard Park and Willie Williams , just to mention a few . For his excellent work in communications and journalism, Nader has won many distinguished awards such as: Journalist of the year from Orhaemet Organization, the Iman Organization of L.A. , the IRC Republic Organization, Torat Haiem Jewish Society and from the Armenian Society of LosAngeles, plus international journalist of the year from the office of the governor of California ,as well as Honorary Sheriff Lee Baca of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department.
Nader was also voted "Best Speaker" as Berkly University in1995 and received a Certificate of approval from Pete Wilson, Governor of California.
At present, Nader is president of Omid-e-Iran TV , one of the most popular TV stations in the Iranian as well as other ethnic communities, broadcasting 24-hour TV programs via satellite around the word.
